This mollusk is located in the city in Oberhausen, the craze about him started after he managed to predict the outcome of the first three games of Germany, against Australia, Serbia and Ghana.

He first shocked everybody by auguring that the Germans would get defeated against the weaker team of Serbia a result that the bookers said was very unlikely to ocurr, but it turned out they were wrong and Paul the Octopus was right.

In order for him to predict the matches they place som food in each of two boxes containing one the flag of Germany and the other that of it's opponent, the the octopus chooses the winner.

Teh world cup ended and this little mollusk rose to worldwide fame by managing to predict correctly all of the Germany's matches and teh final making it eight out of eight or a hundred percent accuracy, many world soccer analyst would struggle to achieve such a feat.
